The Tao's Week That Was (as far as we can tell)

We've been working overtime to feed our family, which explains why we've been 60% less clever/engaged/present this week. Still, we managed to glean the following as the highlights of the last seven days.
So that's that. Now, if they'll just unchain us from our desk for a moment, we'll be on our way home to lock the door, load the shotgun and keep our backs to the wall.

"Maldonado Over Everything is in the middle of an amazing nerdfight with MSN's John Brattain. Brattain won't have any waistbands left on his undies if this keeps up."

Please, the proper term is "coolness challenged."

(Pssst ... don't tell Razzer or Dr. K that I have a secret weapon--a state of the art draw-string).

If you're interested, "The Mockingbird" (Jonathan Hale) had a few well thought out posts discussing the other side of the debate. If you haven’t read it, you might wish to check it out.

For the record, I read most Blue Jays blogs and appreciate feedback (hint hint) especially if it offers an opposing view (tough to learn things from folks who agree with you). I actually mentioned Mockingbird and M.O.E. on the Hardball Times. They were kind enough to taking time to write counterarguments to my HT column for my readers (mom, my editor, my editor's therapist and somebody who mistakenly clicked the link thinking they were reading John Beamer's column).

Ah well, deep down we cheer for the same blue-feathered ball club.

The Tao of Stieb? That ain’t the Dave Stieb I remember.

Gotta run … mother’s calling and those stairs are murder because the basement is damp.

Best Regards

John

Oops. Sorry 'bout that. Some geek I am ... I can't even post without making a mess.

No Ovaltine for me tonight ... no siree. That'll teach me for being so careless.

Please don't tell mom.

Best Regards

John
