The Powder Blues Comeback Tour?
According to the forums on this page (via the supremely awesome UniWatch Blog), the Jays will wear the retro powder blues above as an "additional alternate uniform" next year. While it is possible that they might only use them once or twice, it warms our heart immensely to see the old logo, font, and of course, the powder blue.
(A technical note: These unis are belted as opposed to the elastic waistband that the team would have used in that era, so technically speaking, their not authentically retro...then again, the elasticized waists look pretty stupid now, and should be reserved for ill-advised binges at Mother Tuckers.)
Now if only the Jays would swap out the stupid black for a navy or midnight blue, we'd find some peace in our soul.

Very cool. I've been wishing for years that they'd go back to the stuff we wore during the glory years. I doubt it'll happen any time soon, but this is still great.
As for how often they'll wear them, I heard that they would be used on Flashback Fridays. I don't know if that's true or not, but it makes sense.
The thing is that they are road unis, so we wonder how they would pull off wearing them at home.
Then again, since no one else is going to wear powder blues, there might not be an issue with them.
On that same page is a note about "A script change on the road jersey" and a "sleeve patch on the road jersey".
Very curious about what the sleeve patch might be.
Think the script change might be to make the "T" match those alternate caps they started wearing this year?
My only thought for the sleeve patch is the "SP" for Sam Pollock. For some reason it's only on the home whites now. That or something for the 15th anniversary of the last championship team, but that would be a bit weird.
Hey, we just wrote the same thing in the UniWatch comments...copycat!
We're guessing that they'll bring the two "T"s in line, somehow.
I couldn't agree more on the navy or midnight blue, but that's probably because I consider the Boston hat to be perfect.
I love our old road hat. Was never big on the home one, didn't like the white and blue mix, not sure why. If they could take that colour and slap the current logo on it (assuming they're not going to be completely awesome and go back to the old logo full-time), it'd be great.
maybe some nice little skirts to go with the powder blues, and then they can go play in "A League of their Own".
This hat is pretty cool, but since my head is almost the same size as Kevin Mench's, I pretty much have to go fitted. This easy fit stuff just won't cut it.
