Jesse Litsch is not invincible

Alright, so after hyping our pink, round and efficient marvel hither and yon yesterday, Jesse Litsch gets hit around like a number five pitcher in last night's 5-1 loss to the Yanks. We fully expect to eat crow all day.

More galling still, Worst Person in the World Mike Mussina pitched well as the Jays flailed and waved at his magically evil knuckle curve. (And not that we want to start rumours out of thin air, but...BALL SCUFFER!)

Hey man, a loss is a loss. Even the good teams have got to drop 65-70 games per year. Still, we get a little uneasy when the Jays once again stop hitting with runners in scoring position.

Hey look: afternoon game!
Dustin McGowan versus the Wang at 1:05. Abdicate your work responsibilities and listen in to Jerry and Alan all afternoon.

ah pink, round and efficient. Little did I know how far you'd carry it when I coined it. I should get t-shirts made.

And I hate mike mussina. And Rod Black.

Tao of Stieb said...'s the most apt description of a Jays player that we've ever heard.

You could always get the term copyrighted so that we'd have to pay you a fee every five days when we use it.

rod black called jonny damon "matt damon" yesterday...and his excuse was "we're in new york"...what a tool...

and afternoon action? i'm all over that. we're winning this series and going home with a successful road trip under our belts

I might have to, because Lloyd "the barber" moseby credited it to you before I gently corrected him.

Well don't I look intelligent (yes, even moreso than usual) for announcing that Mussina was completely washed up back in April (I think I projected 15 losses).

Doesn't change the fact that he's still the biggest dick in baseball since Ty Cobb.

Without much trying, here are 5 players who are waay worse than Mussina:

1. Barry Bonds
2. Albert Belle
3. Roger Clemens
4. AJ Pyrzinski
5. Jose Canseco

Going all way back to the Georgia Peach only weakens the argument. You're going down, Ack!

back for more eh Priest!

Look, I was being a liiiiiitttle bit over the top there, but any jagoff who has the gall to whine about TC's ceremony pushing his start back 15 minutes, and blatantly shows up Cito at the all-star game deserves scorn. Unforgivable.

Steroids, affairs, tax evasion, stalking, throwing balls at fans.....big deal. You might have a point on Pierzynski though, I'll admit. He's a douche.

I can't wait for the newfound Tao-reading Yankee fans to read my Mussina comment and inform me of my mental (in)capacities and accuse me of wife and child abuse.

Priestie, will you have my back too?

Darren Priest said...

Yeah, I'll claim I've known you for years and that your wife and children have long since learned not to make you angry!

just kidding

The comments on that Baseball musings site are pretty interesting. Some guys named Phil crowing about an American team winning the Stanley Cup. Those guys will take credit for everything...even the invention of the telephone!

the all-star game was in baltimore. was there a particular reason why cito didn't bring mussina into the game?

That Lloyd the Barber guy is a hack, pay him no attention.
