Hardly a convincing win

One night after spitting the bit versus the Rays, the Jays come back with a scarcely convincing 2-0 win.

The Jays managed to make Edwin Jackson look like Cy Young material, managing only an unearned run and five hits against him.

On the plus side, Lil' Litschy managed to keep them in the game with a sparkling 6.2 innings of shutout ball in his return to his old stomping grounds. (No word on whether if he cleaned up the on deck circle between innings.)

Stupendous signing alert! The Jays sign "All-Star" pitcher Mark Redman to a minor league deal yesterday. Because you never can have enough washed out pitchers in your system. The Jays actually pursued Redman at last year's trade deadline, which only goes to show how low a team will stoop to keep Ty Taubenheim out of their rotation.
