A two-sentence post on.....Building
They say that patience is a virtue, and it damn well better be, because Buck + Gathright ≠ Building!.
Alas, that's the way she goes, and until The Roy Halladay Sweepstakes reaches it's inevitable conclusion, we won't even have any prospect porn to get excited over.
These signings are fine if you have a minor league system chaulk full of talent, and/or you have a solid core of players and just need to fill minor holes in your roster. However this is not the case.
I'm still waiting for one single miniscule signing/deal that actually brings in a piece of the teams future.

And how often does a team acquire two guys with Buck for either a first or last name twice in one week? NEVER!1 It's a sign. Playoffs!!1

I like the Buck signing. Gathright... Well... He sure does run fast...
Buck's a low risk, little reward type guy, nothing to get excited about or upset about. So I guess as it stands now, the Jays line-up is:
1. Jose Bautista - RF
2. Vernon Wells - CF
3. Aaron Hill - 2B
4. Adam Lind - DH
5. Edwin Encarnacion - 3B
6. Lyle Overbay - 1B
7. Travis Snider - LF
8. John Buck - C
9. Alex Gonzalez - SS
It's going to be a long year.
