Whatever you do...

Seriously, it's early. Dropping the first two games in an 18-game season series shouldn't be enough reason to heave yourself over side of the bandwagon, no matter how many fairweather douchebags or gloating Massholes you have in your face telling you that your devotion to the Jays is laughable.

The preponderance of evidence from the first quarter of this season suggests that the Jays are going to hang in there and are going to compete. And even if, in the worst case scenario, the Jays lose tonight, we should keep a few plain truths in mind. Like that at some point this year, the Jays are going to lose three or four or five games in a row. They are going to lose heartbreakers and they'll get blownout. They're going to lose a series to someone they should have beaten, and they will put a beating on a contending favorite.

It's a long season, and a lot of things can happen over 162 games. Let's all just relax and be like Cito. Let's be cool, babies.

Ahhh.

Welcome once again, for the first time: Bobby Ray
You know, back when he was Robert Ray, we took a shining to the lanky Jays farmhand, calling him (and I'm quoting myself here) "the surprise arm who will emerge this year". But there's something unsettling about a man who makes a choice at the age of 24 to go with a diminutive form of his name, ostensibly because that's what his teammates call him already.

Then again, if he can get through seven innings tonight and give up fewer than three runs, we wouldn't care if he called himself Slim Ray or Jimmy Ray.

I'm an anonymous douchebag, and I'm sticking with my team

Even if we lose tonight, we're still in first place by a half game.

They just need to relax; the players I mean. The reason they didn't hit anything in the first 14 innings of this series is because they were too tense. As soon as the lid was blown way off last night, they started hitting again. They could finally take a breath again once they had nothing left to lose.

Hopefully they just relax and have fun tonight. Their game will come back as long as they can do that.

He should have gone with freeze-Ray or death-Ray.

Nah, Jimmy Ray would have been the best. Then when other teams' fans ask "Who is this guy?" We could say: Who wants to know! WHO WANTS TO KNOW!

If anyone would have been freeze ray, it was Baron Frost. Too bad he scrubbed out in 2007.

Voodoo Matt, we can still do that!

As soon as I heard Jerry Howarth explaining the name change, I knew the Jimmy Ray meme would gain traction.

I documented some of the bandwagon douchebaggery happening on Twitter last night. People are fucked up.

We're leaving Fenway atop the standings on the Green Monstah. So fuck off, Boston.

They can change names, touch the Monster for good luck, these scrubs will be swept. It's almost hysterical how blind some people are. Don't Panic?!! Does anybody actually think the Jays can beat Yankees/Rays/Red Sox with all these rookies? It's a fucking joke. The fact that Wilner keeps on parroting that they are in first place...that ain't for long BTW! Yes, the Red Sox fans are jerks,BUt they have more than one pitcher that has logged more than 200 inings in one season. The first quarter has been one big tease and the rest is downhill, let's enjoy it while it lasts.......

troofs..."Jays will be .500 by ASG, I don't see it"....

Not panicking, but the fact they're under .500 against the AL East is a bit worrisome. Small sample size, of course, but still.

Holy fuck people. They where expected to finish in dead last by many at the beginning of the season. We knew that pitching was going to be a problem. Yet we are still in first and it almost the end of May so shut the hell up and enjoy the kids playing ball and learning on the job. You idiots complaining and wanting to hit the panic button should pull your head out of ass and realize teams lose games and the season is long then just a 3 games. Its 162!

Sorry I get cranky when Boston wins.
