A One-(Run-On)-Sentence Post on...Happy Surprises

With all of the incessant offseason rosterbation that took place over the winter, and with all of the knowing analysis about how the team looked on paper, there's no one or nothing that prepared us for just how much we were going to love watching Fred Lewis play, which has been a welcome surprise and provided inspirational happiness a washed out blog hack like us.

Biggest surprise to me is that Lewis is being used at all.

Lewis just LOOKS like a guy who should be leading off. That's nice.

I know it's early, but what's the thought on when/if the Jays might load up this year? What does the record have to be? What is the timeline?

Does Lance Berkman make sense?

Yeah - and that 120 OPS+ ... what the heck are they doing trotting this guy out there every night?!

I very much doubt you will see them 'load up' this year. The only way I can see it happening is if we are first in the AL East come the trade deadline.

Biggest surprise to me is that Lewis is being used at all....

...meaning that I'm surprised 'the manager' even gave him a chance to start:)
