I think the matter of 100 strikeouts and "lights out stuff" versus "dear god keep it out of the middle of the plate" would be the difference between the two
You would be getting a massive steal if Lincecum only cost you Alexis Rios. I saw him pitch against the Mets at Shea in May, and I can tell you that he is absolutely electric.
You're not just getting the difference between Litsch and Lincecum, you're also getting the difference between whoever would be the 6th starter and Litsch, in case someone like Burnett goes down. Also, you're not losing Rios, you're just losing the difference between Rios and whoever replaces him, which will probably be Lind, or the platoon half of Lind plus Stairs playing every day instead of in a platoon. Since that's 4 outfielders your situation if one gets hurt isn't too different from the with-Rios situation.

Check the strikeouts per innings pitched... 50/111 usually does not scream big-time success.
