Staring into the nothingness

These are not the best of days for this Blue Jays blogger.

It would really be helpful to have something of consequence to which we could react in some charmingly pithy manner, thus filling our self-imposed daily quota of blogginess and leaving you all wanting to come back for more tomorrow. And, hopefully, the next day.

Sadly, life gets in the way, and we find ourselves crushed under deadlines and unable to find the space to breathe for a moment and even think about anything other than the unanswered emails and the unfinished tasks and the countdown towards the moment when all of this comes to some frantic conclusion and we can get everything back to normal. Which is not for a few days, anyways.

All of this is, we suppose, our way of saying sorry for the lack of any meaningful posts. It's not that we don't have stuff to say...but we just don't have the time to craft it into something that is worth your while. As a consequence, we've ended up sitting on posts and getting scooped (back to the drawing board on that one), or letting things languish until they barely seem interesting anymore.

Some days, we wish this was all we did, and we could walk away from the daily grind of spirit-crushing duties and menial responsibilities and regale you all with 100% Tao-ness every day, all day. Alas, it isn't so, and something has to suffer. This week, it's the blog.

But really...how about that Brian Bocock move?

Hang in there Tao.

And don't worry about the nothingness.

Remember, he who clings to his work will create nothing that endures.

Ian beat me to it but I was gonna say in 22 days all of your problems will be soothed by daily reports of Jays news...

My immediate reaction to Bobcock news was: "Holy crap... AA might actually know what he's doing!"
Not that losing players to other teams for no return is a good strategy, or anything... but the fact that Philly actually wanted this guy - and that AA beat them to the punch - gives me a (boner) bit more confidence in AA's ability to run this team. I mean, I probably wouldn't have paid any particular attention if it was some crappy team, like the Royals (or the Jays... oh wait, shit!) But the FREAKIN' Phillies?! They're actually kinda relevant! This is probably my second-favourite meaningless Jays-related roster move in a long time... My favourite being when the Jays traded Jonny Mac to the Tigers for... Jonny Mac!

These bleak days are almost over...
Just think about the arrival of pitchers and catchers in Dunedin

This is the Tao I know and love.

btw, did the irrelevant shi not mention Chops is mounting the mound on Friday? (who is hand feeding these scoops to shi? is he just asking the right questions? is he becoming......relevant.....maybe he's gaining some of the relevancy that Blair is losing)

i weep for blair....fcukin' luge.

This post about nothing speaks volumes. I feel better for reading it.

Such is The Tao.

Apparently Bococky sounded good to the Jays, but once a part of the team there was remorse and no longer felt it was the right move.

I still can't believe the amount of discussion/arguing that resulted from Bocock's short time with the Jays, considering AA's own admission that he was only signed to give them some infield depth at AAA. That his existence was ever an issue at all is either a testament to the blogosphere's devotion to this team, or just another reminder of how many reactionary poo-poo heads there are over in the DJF comment section -- probably a bit of both, I guess.

Farewell, Giant Bocock... we hardly knew ye.

You're the man, Tao.

Thanks for the encouraging words, kids.

Sometimes, I need to throw a little tantrum like a kid in a mall parking lot in order to feel right again.

I'll be back in form soon.

Never mind your self loathing, I have to come up with something worthwhile RIGHT QUICK to make up for my recent streak of fucking terrible weekend contributions.

Embarrassing.

I appreciated the piccie of front end loaders on Portage Avenue during a winter storm, even if the subject matter that followed paled.

Though upon further review, that's not Portage Ave so get it sorted.
