Eddie Vedder & Pearl Jam must have had the same feeling sharing the stage with Neil Young here as Travis Snider did the first time he stepped onto the diamond with Scott Rolen.
That Neil - always representin'. Boss.
Big four game set in New Yankee Stadium starts today. We know one game is a virtual lock (I'm not saying which - what am I, an idiot? Wait - don't answer that), so taking two of four from the skanks seems reasonable, right? RIGHT?!?
Nice one, Ack.
ReplyDeleteThe Jays are taking three of four, and it's a MOTHER FUCKING MIRACLE, but Wells is batting 6th.
ReplyDeleteGlory hallelujah, I knew this day would come. Praise Cito!
It's a start, I guess. So, facing Burnett, what's the lineup?
ReplyDeleteScutaro
Hill
Lind
Rolen
Overbay
Wells
Rios
Delucci
Barajas/Chavez
??
You've got to hand at least this to Vern though - he's handling the demotion like a champ. He knows he is sucking the worst kind of shit thus far and is letting the team down.
ReplyDeleteI know we'd all like to see him go all Zambrano (Carlos, not Vic) on a Gatorade bucket, but that's just not his way.
How does Vern respond? First AB hits a double. Give a reason for optimism. Next AB with a runner on third and whiffs big time.
ReplyDeleteAs Cito said: no matter where you put Vernon the at bats are going to find him. Whether it is 4th, 3rd or 6th.
ReplyDeleteAnd please, enough with the Summer of Tallet. He has performed admirably but I don't want this guy anywhere near the starting rotation next year. One thing I can't fucking stand is walks.
The clutch AB's didn't find VW on Wednesday's game.
ReplyDeleteOh my god, there's so much effective information above!
