Your new closer is...

The Sausage King. And there's no need to get snooty about it.

(All responsibility for the previous statement rests with the Tony Imbroglio Experience. Except for the moniker part. That's Drew's. We're an aggregator.)

Speaking of closers
When your ace, your closer, and another rotation arm all go down in the same week that your pre-season number 2 pitcher went under the knife, you've gotta ask yourself: What's got to happen for Jeremy Accardo to get the call?

  1. It's beyond fathoming. Where would the Blue Jays have been without Accardo two seasons ago? You would think that would count for something...

  2. Unbelievable! Accardo is being called up to replace Downs.

  3. I'm good with Frasor as closer. I thought they might give the ball back to B.J., thankfully they didn't.

  4. Halladay is going to the DL. This is one star-crossed team.

  5. I'm great with the Sausage King and better with Frasor's fosh closing it down.

  6. Is it time to question the training staff or Arnesberg with all these F'in injuries?

I am glad Frasor is getting a chance to close he deserves it.

I don't know what the trainers could have done to prevent Downs or Halladay's injuries.

(We suspect that Doc's came an inning before he pulled himself, when he went to cover first. He came off the mound awkwardly...)

  8. Before entertaining the idea that the trainers are to blame for all 5 of last year's starters being on the DL, I would like to know how Blue Jay injury rates compare to other teams. Pitchers are to athletics as lunar landers are to space exploration: amazing when they work, but they break down all the damn time.

Yeah I went pretty far afield for that analogy. So what? Who gees a fuck, huh?

I am seeing the Jays live in late June vs TB. Look for the fat-headed white guy challenging Carl Crawford to a foot race.

Yeah I realize that the Halladay and Downs ones are freaky things that just happen.

I am more alarmed at Janssen, Marcum, McGowan, Litsch, Accardo(last season). All young guys all suffering major arm issues. WTF!
