A One-Sentence Post on...Not going there

Sometimes, when a little boy says ridiculous things (like questioning the character of Roy Halladay for the most specious of reasons) in a desperate attempt to get people to pay attention to them, you've got to just turn around and walk away and not give them the satisfaction.

  1. Bang on - totally fucking ridiculous rant. No basis in reality whatsoever.

I read it the same way....."Hey! Look at me! I'm a contrarian!"

  7. The funniest/douchiest part of that abortion of an article is that he had the balls to say Doc should've pitched in the WBC to "help promote baseball in the city". This from a guy whose network played hockey fight highlights immediately after that game ended. And now, we learn that this network is also selling off broadcast rights to a channel that no one gets. But yea, Doc needs to promote baseball and earn his paycheck.

Just heard Michael Kay on his NYC radio show talk to al Leiter. Kay got it right about Cito. Cito never got a job because he doesn't do anything! He never makes moves.....he's an anti-tatician. GMs were nervous that was not a great in-game manager. Of course, leiter defended Cito by saying that he lets players play BUT c'mon now. The Yankees didn't win that game the Jays lost it! We all love Johnny Mac but can he hit? Put Lind in that spot. And why in heaven's name is Lind sitting in a series aginst an AL East rival? I love how Gaston finds ways to lose......

  11. Uh, blame the PMoD for not being able to hit a sac fly. Blame Leyva for sending Barajas. There are a lot more relevant places to lay blame then at the feet of a guy who didn't want to lose his DH.

That decision was not clear cut. It didn't work out, and that's going to happen sometimes. Had he pinch hit, scored the run, then the middle infield D coughed it up later, you would have been bitching that Cito did pinch hit. Give it a rest. You win some, you lose some.

  12. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to thrust an F-U at Rogers (I was TSN23, a dummy account I picked up from bugmenot). I wish I had done it better, but for an organization that seems to have no value for fan-dom with it's ridiculously valuable and profitable entity, I couldn't just walk away.

I have failed as a righteous man.
