Oh Manny...

Oh Manny.

You took something bad without thinking.

And they've sent you away.

Oh Manny.

  1. He says it was medical, and that he has passed all his previous tests (though i guess that's obvious). He's also not appealing.
It sucks that we can't just hear what the actual drug was and get some sense of the likelihood that Manny is an intentional cheater. If anybody could afford the best way of cheating, it'd be Manny.

  2. Maybe it was Propecia, like José Theodore.

  3. So Manny problems ...

  4. Manny has got to stop using this guy as his primary care physician.

This hits home since Manny is on my fantasy team, but maybe he'll be "double good" when he gets back. I still love him.

  5. I was thinking he went to Dr. Spaceman from 30 Rock.

  6. I think they need to clarify what it was (if it wasn't roids). Rumours are going around that it's a sexual enhancement thing, which may be why they are being so mysterious.

    This one hurts.

    I hate Boston.

  7. Yahoo is reporting it is a performance enhancer - for the bedroom.

Does that make him a cheater?

  8. You're saying that it has something to do with his, er...boner?

  9. Perhaps, it is time that MLB bestows sainthood on Cansesco.

  10. He'd rather give up 8.3 million than appeal because he doesn't want the world to know his noodle is limp? These Latino men are muy macho muchachos!

  11. Isn't it weird that boner pills would get you banned from MLB when they have ads for them everywhere in big league ballparks and broadcasts?

Then again, Raffy Palmeiro was the last MLB spokesman for "ED".

  12. I agree. Manny needs to come clean and stop beating around the bush.

  13. The news just keeps coming today: NESN's Jerry Remy is taking some time off to recover from complications due to lung cancer.

Whatever you think of the Massholes or the Sox Nation, it's hard not to like Remy. We're pulling for him to make a full and speedy recovery.

(Which reminds me: When am I going to smarten the fuck up and quit smoking? I'm such an idiot.)

  14. Yeah, but you make smoking so sexy. You're the Greta Garbo of Blue Jays bloggers.

(I really need to develop interests outside of commenting on your every posts. You're probably on the verge of seeking a restraining order.)

  15. Get well soon Remdawg!

  16. They're bedroom performance-enhancing drugs. There should be no punishment for that. Having a limp dick is punishment enough!

I wonder if this is somehow related to Manny's delay in signing the Dodgers contract offer this winter. It gave him an extra few months of test-free status perhaps, and resulted in him still masking when tested. I wonder when the test was.

  18. ok, perhaps a dumb question, but how does he test positive for this and not roids, if he is taking them. From what I understand, it isn't a masker but a counteractive thing. I don't read anywhere that it cleanses the system.

And Manny also said he's taken and passed 15 drug tests in the past 5 years...so about 3 a year. If he is taking roids, how have they not caught him before this? Do teams test guys before signing them?

    and finally, what the fuck?

  19. It masks the use of steriods by getting your beebees up to normal size. If you're body is not producing testosterone, it's akin to a positive test for steriods.

  20. I believe before this season players were told when they were going to be tested. So if you're prepared and have millions of dollars getting caught is probably impossible. Especially with an agent who knows what he is doing.

All these "clean" records are a joke.
