John McDonald will be the Jays' everyday shortstop before the all-star break.
Johnny Mac will be attacked by a rabid bandicoot and miss the season due to Inglett putting a voodoo whammy on him.
As long as nobody else can play shortstop, his place as a benchwarmer is secure.
I'm more curious as to the selection of "ie" vs "y" for Johnnie (Johnny) Mac. I feel like we should have a discussion on this.
Totally agree with the sentiment, though.

As much as I love Jonni, I will be very pleased when something occurs that very clearly makes him an irrelevant part of this team. As pointed out above by Colin, this doesn't appear to be on the horizon.

According to baseball reference Johnay Macdonald's bat has worked 24% of the time, all the time for his career.
Actually, the baseball reference has Jonies bat working 100% of the time in 24% of the subset under consideration.
Correction noted. So Jeannie Makk's cologne should be:
