We can't wait to hear how this is J.P.'s fault

Rogers lost $138 million in the last quarter, in spite of increased sales for their mobile handsets. The bulk of the loss is attributed to write downs on their television properties.

This information isn't offered as an excuse for the offseason austerity of their baseball properties. It's just a bit of context.

  1. It's a little misleading. Non-cash charges to write down assets. They're still expecting growth in revenues. They still increased the annual dividend/share, though not as much as anticpated. It's complicated, but seems to me they could have held the line on Jays payroll, at least.

  3. Its JP's fault, he should've saved the economy.

  4. Rogers would be doing so much better if JP lived in Toronto year round. And stopped caring about his family so much.

  5. If JP had a nose full of nickels...he could bail out GM!

(If you've never heard the country song, that joke will fall even flatter than usual.)

Darren you are too much! Maroth gets hurt, Downs, the Japanese pitcher is out! Is this the only team that has pitchers falling down like flies? This is getting silly.......

Anonymous, pretty sure it's not TOS's fault you overpaid for your data plan.
