Also, he writes unfunny blog posts (for Rogers Media, no less) using rote arguments about the Jays winning "when the pressure if off".
Ooooh, Mikey: You're so much smarter than the rest of us cattle who are too stupid to get the fact that this season is over and who blindly root against all hope for our team to succeed. Thank you so much for tipping us off to your hip cynicism, and for letting us know how the Jays aren't the Rockies, and that they clearly suck. Our worldview is so much clearer now that you've opened our eyes.
JFC, this guy puts the "douche" in "douche".
ReplyDeleteThis guy's a putz. I had not heard of or read him before today. I am stupider for having read his unfunny, sarcastic, one-note scribblings.
ReplyDeleteI come here for edification and get this?!? You owe me 90 seconds of my life back.
I award him no points, and may god have mercy on his soul.
ReplyDeletedid anyone read Damien Cox's recent blog post?
ReplyDeletehttp://thestar.blogs.com/thespin/2008/09/winning-and-mea.html
i don't think he understands that only 8 teams make the playoffs in baseball. in the entire league.
I never knew this dude existed until today...and it's all because of you that I've been exposed to him...it's like not washing your hands after using a public urinal. If you don't stop the cycle, everyone's gonna get infected.
ReplyDeleteis he getting paid for that shit? Cause there are plenty of better, funnier bloggers working for nothing. Hey Rogers...bail one of them out and give them the job. But he does blog for Macleans...which went from a relevant mag to a right-wing shit rag when they changed editors.
ReplyDeleteJust read Damien Cox's blog post. We commented, but it didn't seem to take. Maybe the Star has a vendetta against us. BRING IT ON BITCHES!
ReplyDeleteWe usually don't mind Cox, but that's possibly because a) we read him about twice per year, b) we like to read people who are dumping on the Leafs and c) our exposure to him is usually in the context of watching the TSN Sunday Gasbag Jamboree, and anyone would look good compared to Steve Simmons.
It also would have been nice if Professional Journalist Damien Cox would have spelled Travis Snider's name correctly.
oh and for the shout out, you are mostly forgiven for requesting a repeat of Jill Clark on the DJF Podcast before I have been on once.
ReplyDeleteWe're still waiting for our return invite to the DJF podcast...we didn't bring our "A" Game last time.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a face to put on that dickless Brad Fullmer fan from over at the Drunks. They are clearly one in the same.
ReplyDeleteHow do you misspell Travis Snider?
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I see what he did.
ReplyDeleteAnd there isn't even a Snyder in the NHL for him to mix Travis up with!
Just sayin' - Damian Cox = Jay Marriotti.
ReplyDeleteWell, there was a Dan Snyder in the NHL, but...never mind.
ReplyDeleteCory Snyder. I know he's on my mind constantly, so it's no surprise Damyen typoed it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about this weekend series. Meaningful games in September!
ReplyDeleteJoanna, if standing up against theocratic fascists who would reduce you to a slave, or have you stoned to death in the street for resisting, is being a right wing shit rag, then let's have more right wing shit rags. (Not to mention, to distort Tom Hanks' great line, "There's no baseball under Sharia Law.")
