Jays brass have alluded to him being more of a pitcher this Spring than a power thrower, which is exactly what pitching nerds like myself needed to hear. Keep in mind he still has that power pitcher core, though, and when the secondary stuff doesn't show up - you can get hit real hard. Expect a great season, but expect some gross outings as well.Roy-Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05366956148844607371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-87553491499908761162012-03-22T20:23:45.867-04:002012-03-22T20:23:45.867-04:00Love Morrow and a great post but after you eluded ...Love Morrow and a great post but after you eluded to Steib's slider, man..thats all I can think about...brainiachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217293327823949195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-1518270741393229232012-03-22T15:27:17.736-04:002012-03-22T15:27:17.736-04:00235 SO would mean around 200-215 IP for Morrow, wh...235 SO would mean around 200-215 IP for Morrow, which could happen if he avoids injury, and if the Jays staff actually let him add the customary 20-30% innings to his workload. This could make for a very fun story in 2012.J. B. Romero is near top of the charts in ground balls; Morrow is near bottom. Romero is near the top in strand rate, OPS with runners on; Morrow is near the bottom. They make a pretty neat nerd stats side-by-side comparison.sporklesshttp://www.twitter.com/sporklessnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-4742423399721565442012-03-22T11:58:39.656-04:002012-03-22T11:58:39.656-04:00I think he racks up around 235 Ks as well.
