I used to think that C.B. Bucknor was the worst umpire in baseball but Phil has definitely made me think twice.

His strike zone is all over the map, and always wrong. Not only in this game but I remember in the Dodger-Yankee series a few weeks ago he blew several strike calls against the Dodgers in the 9th that had Joe Torre and Don Mattingly ready to choke him.

The play at the plate (in the Giant game)was so obviously a safe call that it boggles the mind how this imbecile could have missed it. Then again, this idiot missed the fair ball by Mauer and he was standing 10 feet away staring right at it.

Also in the Giant game was the obviously fair ball nubber hit by Huff that was called foul for no apparent reason. Something has to be done about these umpires who are constantly making idiotic calls on the field.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-73362148343524998652010-07-18T19:16:26.503-04:002010-07-18T19:16:26.503-04:00He's at it again!

Video will show:

a) his strike zone went to mush by the 6th inning, called the high and low strike;

b) the same pitch was a strike one minute, and a ball the next;

c) after a ball called, K Rod asked "outside?" and Cuzzi pulled his mask and went ballistic!;

d) 9th inning, play at the plate, Cuzzi called the Giants runner (Ishikawa) out, but he was clearly safe (see video) - Cuzzi's eye was lifted by a high throw, and he didn't see the runner's foot over the plate before the tag hit the hip. This call cost the Giants the baseball game. Period. Like the team or not, we can't have that in baseball.

MLB - time to send Phil packing.
Period.
There are too many cool, calm, collected and competent guys waiting in the wings.

Do something with this clown!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-59704165105544578812009-10-12T00:03:58.787-04:002009-10-12T00:03:58.787-04:00his only job was to watch the fucking line! how ob...his only job was to watch the fucking line! how obvious can you get!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-80272071146680735652009-10-12T00:03:55.175-04:002009-10-12T00:03:55.175-04:00his only job was to watch the fucking line! how ob...his only job was to watch the fucking line! how obvious can you get!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-80550970772091379522009-10-12T00:03:50.765-04:002009-10-12T00:03:50.765-04:00his only job was to watch the fucking line! how ob...his only job was to watch the fucking line! how obvious can you get!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-81949696236746602232009-10-12T00:03:40.557-04:002009-10-12T00:03:40.557-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02822249256969146950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-22162134846086138132009-10-12T00:03:36.041-04:002009-10-12T00:03:36.041-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02822249256969146950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2484762138483195409.post-8237264801722017092009-10-10T09:10:52.673-04:002009-10-10T09:10:52.673-04:00Do some research. I was watching the game and it is IMPOSSIBLE that a man with even halfway decent vision could have watched from that distance and saw it as a foul ball. Then the emphatic gesture on top of it. Who was he trying to fool? I try to be "P.C." and right-thinking, but after reading that this guy is of Italian descent and lives in "Jersey" it has a Sopranos feel to it. All I know is he better take cold hard cash so as not to leave a money trail. Douchebag about sums it up all right.
